Currently, KPDNKK Perlis uses KPIs to measure the performance of each section from the context of work progress. It is a problem to work out productivity and efficiency in doing work for each KPI to be evaluated based on how fast the KPIs is achieved. It also difficult to see the progress in real time, where the current process that they are using now is when the KPIs report is requested, they will update and then print out the report for each section. The main problem is the data are mostly in spreadsheet, because data processing involved getting data from reports and then translating them into a spreadsheet. From the spreadsheet it is then translated into performance figures which measure the work done versus time, which is in a month. Besides that, the organization also has lack of centralized approach in assessing performance and inability to produce an ad-hoc report on performance of each section. This study is proposed to develop a web-based system that is embedded with dashboard to easily track performance of each section using combination of textual and graphical information representation. The target users are the director and section leader of the organizations.1.3 Research Aim and ObjectivesTo design, develop and evaluate the dashboard in order to help the management of key performance indicators (KPIs) of the organizations. The objectives of this research are stated as below:1. To design a dashboard that provides transparency and insight into work output.2. To develop a dashboard that provides transparency and insight into work output.3. To evaluate the web application by using usability test.1.4 Research ScopeThis project is to design, develop and evaluate of dashboard that will be able to help the management of key performance indicators of the organization. The evaluation will be conducted at KPDNKK Perlis. The people who will be involved in this project are the director and section leader of the organization. It will measure the usefulness of the web application towards the users. The data will be collected by using usability test.Usability test is a technique used in user-centered interaction design to evaluate a product by testing it on users. It measures the usability or ease of use, of a specific object or set of objects, whereas general human–computer interaction studies attempt to formulate universal principles. The purpose of the test is to identify the usability problems, collect qualitative and quantitative data and determine the users’ satisfaction of the system.1.5 Significance of StudyThis project will help to improve the performance of data from every section. It will be translated into a visual dashboard and providing a single place for both internal and external stakeholders to find up-to-date information of the organization.
