The term work can be used in different scenarios. In the U.S. work may mean that a person would be engaged in physical or mental activity in order to achieve a purpose or result, especially in one’s job. Their work becomes a mean of income. In some cases work can be seen as a way to do proper labor and  then earn pay. Work can occasionally offer vacation time, sick leave, medical coverage like tests, medications and other treatment services. Employees can also receive retirement benefit through their jobs. Organizations provided jobs, and employees showed up to do them. Work should be about doing something you want to do every day, not drudgery. Organization are mostly responsible for providing medical coverage for their employees. These organizations have a big role in their workers lives. The organizations have began to invest in new technologies for new employee experience. The technologies are being added and promoted in the workplace, and the focus is on creating many different great corporate cultures. The relationship between organization and employee is very isolated. Each individual has to work a lot, but things began to worsen when people start to feel guilty about taking time out tand focusing on other priorities that are unrelated to work. It really all depends on the flexibility, trust, and respect within a person and his/her work and personal relationships that will balance their work life. It is important to recognize that everyone is in a different moment of their life, at different stages leading to challenges, and they are able to conquer it with some freedom to handle those obligations.People like millennials see their work differently. They have included work with the flow of life. They have managed to have their work co-mingle with their life. It has been noticed that work doesn’t have a time-frame for most Millennials. The article “here’s Why Your Definition of ‘Work’ Is Driving Millennials Nuts” by John Brandon, mentions how he understood  that to Millennials “business, work and life are basically the same”. For those who are not millennials see work as just a place, here they have to be on  time, a proper schedule is run, a paycheck is earn after the task is done, and a boss is present to make sure you are doing hard work. This image of work has been set up in workers brain’s for many years.  The millenials view their work as if they are always living life, at that moment. The downside to this way of living is that can be dangerous too. It is not ideal when a person  cannot even have  a proper conversation with someone because they are constantly checking email and posting about their organization on social media through their phones, or other devices. These devices have made work really easier, but also very distracting. As a person’s device makes them addicted to it, the device causes the same person to be obsessed with work, and that should not be acceptable. The dangers of life as work continues when a person’s friends or family are not able see he/she  because he/she  have not been able to distinguish how they want to live from how to manage their career. Brandon states “I haven’t even mentioned how employees who never stop working are more likely to get sick, and their hourly wage is probably” not equivalent to the amount of hours they work.  Some may think that they way they live is accurate, but to others it seems outrageous. They are some people that do support the view of millennials. Their definition is quite similar. Their idea involves the freedom to choose the type of work they wish to do and how to manage their own life. In an article “9 Different Definitions On The Meaning Of Work-Life Balance” shares the achievement of a few business leaders. One of them is Jeremy Wickremer, founder of Transformational Media Summit created a definition of the perfect work-life balance scenario. He believes that work  is “doing the job you love, working with people you get along with, and not working crazy hours.” He wants people to find what they are passionate about and realize their full potential. Even if people decide to largely increase their workload, they will still have some interest in their work until the end,because it something they enjoy doing. Millenials have been following this rule. Another business leader is Ari Horie, founder and CEO of Women’s Startup Lab who states “I see so many women feel guilty about their work-life balance, but they isolate it. They don’t want to talk about it. I think it’s important to talk about it.”  She explains how often people “paint this picture that these women are Super Women and this makes the rest of us feel guilty that we don’t measure up, ” It is very crucial that  women feel courageous enough to “talk about these struggles so that we can have a better understanding of what a realistic work-life design looks like.”  Society is made up images like this, and once these pictures are painted people began to follow it, without much thought.  When someone becomes successful people may think that their success happened automatically, or overnight, which is not highly realistic. Although an individual’s work might mean he/she  does not  have time to develop a family, or spend time with them.  In most cases men are more likely than women to classify certain activities that gender specific.  Such work can be describe in preparation for a business, or labor that last only for a few hours. These kind of jobs allow people to work at their own time, whenever they are comfortable. The results show that gender influences interpretations of the meaning of work. There are certain activities that are labelled “work” in some cases depends upon the person engaged in the activity, or on the gender of the person interpreting the situation.
